Help & support
GTranslate · Same information as in the in-app legal appendix, easy to read in a browser
Getting started
Library: Open Library and tap Get next to the languages you need (each pack is on the order of tens of megabytes; Wi‑Fi is recommended). When packs are installed, Text, Voice, Lens, and Dialogue can use on-device translation once both relevant models are ready.
Modes
Text
Choose From and To languages, enter or paste text, then tap Translate. Both language packs must be downloaded for offline translation.
Voice
Allow microphone and speech recognition when prompted. The target language pack often starts downloading automatically on Wi‑Fi. You can keep recording while packs finish; tap Translate when both are ready.
Lens
Allow camera access. Pinch to zoom, tap to focus; use the shutter to freeze the frame, review detected text, then translate. You can also pick an image from your photo library.
Dialogue
Set Partner and You languages, then take turns using the mic controls. You can enable auto-play of translations—use discretion in public spaces.
Purchases and billing
For failed payments, Pro not unlocking after purchase, or refunds, use Apple’s Report a Problem flow or manage subscriptions under Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
Troubleshooting
If the app crashes, language packs won’t download, or behavior seems wrong: update to the latest version from the App Store, restart the device, and check free storage and network connectivity (needed for downloads).
